It’s all in the attitude. Rain and cool weather may have dampened the 2011 Fall City Days celebration a bit, but it also meant shorter lines at the food stands—a little shorter, anyway—more seating near the stage, and more watermelon for everyone.
Spirits were high wherever you looked, from the excitement of the parade until the last rubber ducky was rounded up. Street performers kept everyone entertained, educated, and at times puzzled, but all enjoyed the day, and there was not a slice of watermelon to be found by closing time.
