An early morning car chase has ended in Snoqualmie, after a woman stole a Kent patrol car, according to the Kent Police Department.
On Aug. 2, at about 2:30 a.m., Kent officers made contact with a suspicious male with an arrest warrant and a woman behind Kentridge High School at 12430 Southeast 208th Street, police said. Then the suspects fled on foot.
As police were arresting the male suspect, the female allegedly got into and took off with the Kent police car. After the car was stolen, the Automated Vehicle Locater was activated and showed that the car was heading east on Interstate 90.
Notification of the stolen patrol car went out to surrounding agencies and the Washington State Patrol aided in arresting the 38-year-old female driver. She was taken into custody near Highway 18 and the I-90 interchange.
While the vehicle did sustain some damage, all of the car’s equipment was accounted for.
