The North Bend Film Fest is returning this year, but it’s been reincarnated as a virtual festival.

The third annual festival will be held from Oct. 8 – 11 on nightstream.org. The new platform will combine the festival program offerings with premiere genre festivals across the U.S. This includes the Boston Underground Film Fest, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, Overlook Film Festival and Popcorn Frights.

The four day event will feature film premieres, filmmaker talks, live events and panels.

Pre-sale badges are on sale, and range in price from $55 to $99, depending on the number of films to be viewed. Ticket purchases will go directly to artists showcased in the festival, charitable causes and struggling small businesses in each of the festivals’ home cities.

Funding will also help sustain the North Bend festival, and help fund the 2021 festival.

“Though we’ll greatly miss seeing you all at the iconic North Bend Theatre and other local establishments, we’re excited to have the opportunity collaborate with great festivals across the country to present a kick-ass program to you all,” a press release from the North Bend Film Fest states.

Film festivals across the country are either holding virtual fests, or postponing until next year. Others, including the Toronto Film Festival, have planned for a drive-in theater experience.

In the Snoqualmie Valley, the North Bend Theatre has managed to keep their employees on board by offering concessions, doing some renovations, and planning for their reopening when the county hits the third phase of Gov. Jay Inslee’s plan to reopen the economy.
