Fall City Boy Scout Troop 425 held its Fall Court of Honor on Tuesday, April 1 at the Fall City Masonic Lodge.

A Court of Honor recognizes the accomplishments of troop members and volunteers. At this event, troop members, ranging in age from 11 to 18, earned a total of 10 rank advancements and five merit badges.

The troop also recognized committee chair Sherri Zucker for receiving the Silver Beaver Award. Established in 1931, the Silver Beaver Award is one of the highest honors a Scout leader can receive. It is presented for distinguished service to the youth of a community within a scouting council.

More than 30 people attended the event, enjoying refreshments and a slide show featuring the troop’s activities over the past six months. Featured activities included a ski trip to Mount Baker and a snow camping trip, as well as several backpacking and hiking events. Scout Ryan Grate was the master of ceremonies and gave a presentation on activities planned for the summer, including a week-long boating and camping trip to Lake Ozette and the Scout troop’s annual summer camp, which will be held this year at Camp Fife in Eastern Washington.

Troop 425 is sponsored by the Sno-Valley Eagles. The troop enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, backpacking, canoeing, snow and water skiing and winter camping, and is very active in community events.
