A COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held at the Fall City Fire Department on Sunday, Nov. 7, between 10 a.m. to 4.
The clinic is a collaborative effort between the fire department, Discovery Health MD and the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. It will offer all three of the approved COVID-19 vaccines and offer first, second and booster shots. No sign-up is needed.
The clinic is expected to offer the vaccine to all those five and older. It will be one of the first opportunities for children, between the ages of five and 11, to get the vaccine. The Center for Disease Control is expected to make a final decision regarding the vaccine’s eligibility for those under 12 sometime this week.
The clinic will also provide flu shots. Those looking to get both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines can get them on the same day. The COVID-19 vaccine is free. The flu vaccine will be billed to your insurance, with no deductible.
For residents who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, a booster shot is recommended for anyone 65 and older or anyone 18 and older who lives in a long-term care facility, has an underlying medical condition or whose job puts them at high risk of contracting COVID-19. Those who want a booster need to wait at least six months since their second shot.
For those who got the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine, a booster is recommended for those 18 and older who were vaccinated two or more months ago.
