The Taste of the Valley dinner and auction is back in 2022.

The farm-to-table dinner event is being held on Saturday, July 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Goose and Gander Farm in Carnation, and will bring together some of the best local food and beverages the Valley has to offer. The dinner is also in conjunction with an online benefit auction which will run from July 27 to 31.

The 11th annual event serves as a fundraiser for the Carnation-based Snoqualmie Valley Preservation Alliance, a nonprofit that advocates for the protection of farmland and open spaces in the Snoqualmie Valley. The SVPA has been working alongside King County and others for the last 12 years on land use and floodplain management challenges.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all our amazing supporters,” said Lauren Silver, executive director of SVPA. “We have Valley lovers from all over who come to support this unique and irreplaceable area.”

Funds from the event allow SVPA to continue several of its projects, including maintaining the Floodzilla Gage Network – a citizen science tool for advanced flood warning and information in the Valley. Silver said the funds will also contribute to a watershed resiliency study, examining the economic impacts flooding has on agriculture, and the group’s work with the county’s Fish Farm Flood committee.

“We are a community organization and operate through the support of generous partners who work to help preserve the Valley for generations to come,” Silver said.

The event is looking to raise $160,000. Individual tickets for the event are $130 and include dinner, two drink tickets and an after-party.

The event features food from Well and Table, Grateful Bread, Beecher’s Cheese, Cherry Valley Dairy, Falling River Meats, Chickadee Bakeshop and others. Drinks will come from No Boat Brewing, Patterson Cellars, Valley House Brewing and Pearl and Stone Wine Co.
