After snowfall blanketed the Snoqualmie Valley Wednesday, Nov. 30, the region has a chance of seeing more snow later this week.
Between 2 to 12 inches of snowfall had piled up across the Valley by Wednesday morning, according to data from the National Weather Service (NWS).
That includes reports of 6 to 12 inches in North Bend, 6.5 inches in Fall City and 2 inches in Carnation.
Forecasts from NWS predict additional chances for snow in the Valley as soon as this evening. More Snowfall is also possible through Saturday.
Temperatures today are expected to reach a high of 37 degrees with a low of 26.
The remainder of the week is expected to see highs near 40 degrees with overnight lows ranging from high-to-low 20s.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for East King County until 4 p.m. this afternoon.
City officials in Snoqualmie and North Bend announced that snow plows have been working since early Wednesday morning. Plows for both cities began with high priority roads, and were moving on to secondary roads by mid-morning.
Snowfall across the Valley has caused widespread cancellations and service disruptions.
Snoqualmie Valley Transportation suspended its routes early this morning due to road conditions. The Snoqualmie Valley School District also canceled classes.
Trash service in Snoqualmie and North Bend today has been suspended. There will be a trash-drop off for North Bend residents at Torguson Park until approximately 3:30 p.m. today .
Alongside the winter weather, King County has also seen widespread power outages, according to data from Puget Sound Energy.
About 300 customers outside of Carnation city limits and 250 customers near the I-90/State Route 18 Interchange are reported to have lost power.
Another 250 customers on Snoqualmie Pass also reported losing power.
The Snoqualmie Pass has received 22 inches of snow since Tuesday, with an additional 6 to 12 inches possible by tomorrow.
Eastbound I-90, heading over Snoqualmie Pass, is closed at Mile Point 34 near North Bend, as of press time. The Washington State Department of Transportation said there is no estimated reopening time.
Westbound I-90 is open with chains required.
