In the only city council primary in the Snoqualmie Valley, Catherine Cotton and Mandeep Kaur Walia lead Tanya Lavoy, based on initial results released Tuesday night.
All three candidates are seeking to fill the open No. 5 position on the Snoqualmie City Council. The top two vote-getters will advance to the General Election in November.
Cotton currently leads the field with 41% of the vote, followed by Walia at 30% and Lavoy sits at 27%.
As of Tuesday, only 16% of registered Snoqualmie voters had cast ballots. Election officials will continue to count ballots until results are certified later this month.
Lavoy, a legislative aide for State Sen. Patty Kuderer, and Cotton, a veterinarian and volunteer EMT with Snoqualmie Fire, have previously sought seats on the council. Walia is an internal physician and formerly worked at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.
