Alexander, McKinney marry

Rachael Alexander and Christopher McKinney were married Saturday, Aug. 28, at Crystal Mountain Resort, surrounded by friends and family attending from as far away as New Zealand, Vermont, Texas and California. The ceremony was officiated by a friend of the couple, Carissa Veltri.

Rachael is the daughter of Lee and Jennifer Alexander of Fall City. She graduated from Mount Si High School in 2003 and Washington State University in 2007. She is currently employed as a family advocate with First Step Family Support Center in Port Angeles.

Chris is the son of Vern and Patricia McKinney of Spokane. He graduated from Mead High School in 2001 and Washington State University in 2006. He is employed by Aramark Parks and Destinations as director of sales and marketing in Port Angeles.

Stefanie Reilly was maid of honor with Millie Evidente, Ellie Ahrens and Hailey Shoemaker as bridesmaids. Best man was Steve Gunnels, with Nick Allgood, Charles Harris and Ryan Whitman as groomsmen. The flower girls were Matilda Gunther and Kaylee McKinney with Jase McKinney as the ring bearer, all of whom are Chris’ nieces and nephew. Brothers of the couple, Ben Alexander and Mike McKinney, were ushers.

Chris and Rachael enjoyed a short honeymoon at Priest Lake, Idaho and are planning a longer trip next summer to a tropical destination. The couple is making their home in Port Angeles.
