Moms ride free at Railway Museum for Mother’s Day
In honor of Mother’s Day, the Northwest Railway Museum invites moms to take a free ride aboard the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad, when accompanied by a paying child of any age. The special Mother’s Day event happens Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11.
Passengers may board in Snoqualmie and North Bend, and take a scenic ride through the Cascade foothills and enjoy a rare view from the opposite side of Snoqualmie Falls.
Round trip fares are $7 for children ages two to 12, $10 for children ages 13 to 61, and $9 for children ages 62 and up. Trains depart every 75 minutes, beginning at 11 a.m. from the Snoqualmie Depot, 38625 S.E. King Street, and 11:26 a.m. from the North Bend Depot, 205 McClellan Street. For more information, call the museum at (425) 888-3030 or visit www.trainmuseumorg.
Trains operate on Saturdays and Sundays from April through October. In 2008, trains also run on Memorial Day and Labor Day.
