Snoqualmie and Chief Kanim middle school eighth grade students will share their mixed media projects, focused on the transition from middle school to high school, at the schools’ third annual Eighth Grade Art Show, Thursday, May 15 at Snoqualmie Middle School.

An opening party is from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Artist statements appear alongside about 80 collages as testaments to the students’ feelings and perceptions about making the move to high school. About 70 other student projects, including prints and sculptures, will also be on display.

The schools’ parent, teacher and student associations will sponsor refreshments, catered by Mount Si High School culinary students. The Nursery at Mount Si will provide plant arrangements to decorate the show, which will also coincide with a book fair at the school.
