Mount Si High student Erin Carter will represent Washington at the

National Distribution Education Clubs of America (DECA) conference in

Louisville, Ky., next month.

Carter was also nominated for a $1,000 to $5,000 national

DECA scholarship.

Multi-Age applications available

Tolt Middle School is now accepting applications for its

2000-2001 Multi-Age Program.

The middle school program services 54 diverse students in two

classrooms which integrate language arts, science, social studies and math.

The program emphasizes written and oral communication skills.

Students are together for the core subject areas but can still take

advantage of Tolt’s full range of elective and strand classes including physical

education, music, technology, art and health.

Application forms are available at Tolt Middle School or by calling

(425) 333-4191. Applications must be received by April 7.

Kindergarten registration begins soon

The Riverview School District will register and welcome new

kindergarten students for the 2000-2001 school year in April. Parents need to

bring with them their child’s birth certificate and completed up-to-date

immunization record.

Registration will be held at the following schools:

Carnation Elementary will hold a registration and information

session from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 6 in room 113. An all-day

kindergarten program is available for a tuition

Cherry Valley Elementary will hold a registration and

information session from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 6 in room 20. An all-day

kindergarten program is available for a tuition fee. For more information

Stillwater Elementary will hold a registration and information

session from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 in the school lunchroom. A

kindergarten extended day program is available at the school. For more

Wanted: Incubator

The kindergarten classes at Carnation Elementary School are

looking for an incubator to hatch chicken eggs as part of an embryology unit.
