Young volunteers ages 10 to 18 can build hiking trails and improve wildlife habitat at streams, parks and forests during summer camps hosted by the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust.

During Greenway Summer Camps 2010, young people will visit sites in the Greenway to play, learn and help maintain local creeks and trails. Weeklong ecological restoration and trail maintenance camps are specifically designed for teens, and there is still room in most sessions. Youth will make friends, learn new skills, explore local creeks and trails and have fun outside this summer.

Two camps are planned in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Session 5, for teens ages 16 to 18, is July 19 to 23. Session 6, for teens ages 13 to 16, is July 26 to 30.

Sessions run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants are required to wear hiking or work boots.
