Gibson Bardsley, a former Mount Si High School player, has been named Great Northwest Athletic Conference men’s soccer co-Player of the Week for Oct. 3 to 9 for his play for Western Washington University.

Bardsley, a senior from Fall City, had an 11-point week, scoring five goals and being credited with an assist in wins over Saint Martin’s, 4-3, and Hawaii Pacific, 5-2. He had three goals in the Saint Martin ’s contest, the third hat trick of his four-year career.

Bardsley leads the GNAC with 11 goals this season. He is second among Western career leaders with 34, the school record of 41 being held by Peter LaBarge (1989-90), and tied for fifth in assists with 13.

Bardsley shared the weekly GNAC honor with Simon Fraser midfielder Joseph Martin.
