Small businesses throughout Washington state are invited to
participate in Biz Fair ’99 on Saturday, Sept. 11, in Renton. The event will
provide small businesses and entrepreneurs with the opportunity to meet with
business owners and state agency representatives to obtain information
about starting and running a small business.
The event will include two expert panels who will discuss “The Pros
and Cons of Operating a Home-based Business,” and “Small Business
Ownership: Tips for Success.” The panels will be moderated by Andrew
Munro, Small Business Administration Advocate, and Dr. Yash Gupta, Dean of
the University of Washington School of Business. The event will also
include over fifty display booths and seminars on subjects ranging from starting
and expanding a business to alternative financing and “cutting through the
red tape.”
Biz Fair ’99 will be held at Renton Technical College on Saturday,
Sept. 11, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Renton Technical College is located at 3000
N.E. 4th St. in Renton.
