The Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce adds two new faces in staffing changes this fall.
Susan Livingston, who until September 7 served as an officer on the chamber’s Board of Directors, has been contracted by the executive committee of the board to serve as a professional consultant to the organization, through December.
She was hired to provide leadership following the departure of Cheryl Fulton, who served as operations manager since June and office manager since August of 2010.
Her family is relocating to Boise, Idaho, because her husband, Frank, has accepted a position with a company in the Treasure Valley.
“We wish Cheryl and her family well, and we are particularly delighted to have Susan available to move from the Board of Directors into a role she is uniquely qualified to fulfill,” says Gregory Malcolm, board president. “With Susan’s skill set, connections, vision and talent, it will be a smooth transition.”
Livingston, a 13-year resident of the Snoqualmie Valley, will provide strategic planning and organizational development services through the end of the calendar year.
With 20 years of experience in brand strategy and management consulting, Livingston has worked with clients such as NIKE, the National Institutes of Health and University of North Carolina Healthcare, as well as dozens of regional businesses and nonprofits. She also is engaged by Outside Seattle, a large regional tourism project involving the Snoqualmie Valley and other regional partners.
“This is a great opportunity for us to recalibrate the role and offerings of the chamber in response to the changes in our community and the economy in general,” she said. “We will focus on creating efficiencies, developing opportunities for cross-promotion and collaborating extensively with our local partners to support and market our region.”
In addition to Livingston, the chamber’s Executive Board also hired local Snoqualmie resident Jennifer Osborn as its new business manager. Osborn and Livingston join Michelle Maddux, administrative assistant, in rounding out the chamber’s professional team.
