Beginning on January 2, CleanScapes will provide garbage, recycling and food and yard waste collection for Carnation households and businesses.
Residents and businesses in Carnation will notice changes to their service in the New Year, most noticeably: lower rates, expanded recycling services and no charge for businesses to recycle. CleanScapes is also providing a 7-day per week call center with a dedicated customer service phone number and website. Residents of Carnation will also notice new color-coded carts and businesses will receive new dumpsters.
“CleanScapes looks forward to bringing excellent service and the latest technology to the Carnation community,” said Chris Martin, CleanScapes President and founder. “We look forward to being a partner with the community for many years to come.”
Founded in Seattle, CleanScapes has been serving communities in the Northwest since 1997 providing solid waste and recycling collection services in Seattle, Shoreline, Des Moines and Issaquah.
CleanScapes will serve Carnation with trucks using the latest technology including highly efficient Hybrid Hydraulic Launch Assist (HLA) vehicles running on compressed natural gas (CNG). HLA vehicles store hydraulic energy captured when breaking and use it for future acceleration. This technology translates to up to 30% fuel savings and cleaner air. The integration of HLA technology into a truck fueled by CNG results in dramatically reduced emissions of green house gases and particulates, which can find their way into rivers, creeks, lakes and Puget Sound. CleanScapes was recently awarded with the first ever, 5-star fleet certification from the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency.
