Eastside Fire and Rescue sent out a special recognition to Eastside Mobile Auto Glass of Issaquah recently.
The honor came for work performed to get a North Bend emergency vehicle back in service during this winter’s heavy storms.
On the evening of Saturday, Dec. 20, during heavy winds, North Bend’s Aid Unit 87 got a broken windshield. The damaged vehicle, one of the few four-wheel drive aid units that EFR operates, was considered critical to providing medical services in the North Bend area.
After contacting Eastside Mobile Glass about the problem, fire department personnel said they were impressed with the service they received.
Shop repair personnel were quickly deployed to Station 87 in North Bend to replace the windshield on the spot. The aid unit was back in service sooner than had been expected, and was available during the severe snow and ice conditions that hit the area.
