Want to buy an ad in the Valley Record? Shari Graber will be glad to help. She’s the newspaper’s new advertising account executive.

Graber joined the Valley Record staff May 17. She and fellow advertising salesperson Leesa McKay will share sales duties.

“We are at the point where more and more businesses are coming to Snoqualmie Valley. The load on Leesa was getting to be too much,” said Jim McKiernan, publisher. “Having two account executives will make us more nimble in helping our advertisers get the word out about their businesses.”

Graber moved to North Bend nearly two years ago from Minnesota. She has a background in customer service and sales. Prior to joining the Valley Record, she worked at Eastside Self Storage in North Bend. She also owns a gift basket business – Dot’s Daughter Design Service.

Graber said she was looking for a new job opportunity and a chance to try something new.

“I’m looking forward to really getting out and meeting new people,” Graber said.

She is a member of the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce, for which she co-chairs the ambassador committee.

McKiernan said Graber’s involvement with the chamber will strengthen her relationship with clients. He said he felt fortunate to find a strong candidate locally in Graber.

“Shari has a great personality that makes it easy to talk to her,” McKiernan said. “I feel confident that her caring personality will be great in helping customers market their businesses.”

Graber has four grown children, three of whom graduated from Whitworth College in Spokane; the fourth is attending college in Minnesota.

She and her husband, David Graber, live in North Bend.

“I love living here,” she said. “Every day my breath is taken away by the natural beauty.”

She moved here for the mountains and to be closer to her sister who lives in Redmond.
