The city of North Bend was recently recognized for having its written investment policy certified by the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada at its 46th Annual conference. Earlier this year, the city’s policy was reviewed and certified as meeting the standards set forth.  The City of North Bend is one of 22 governments to have its investment policy certified through this program.

Beth Waltz, staff accountant was also formally recognized for successfully completing the Certified Public Funds Investment Manager (CPFIM) credential by the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada.   The CPFIM program is a nationally recognized accreditation for individuals demonstrating to their community and employer that they are a qualified investment manager.

Additionally the city of North Bend and Waltz have again been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for achieving GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its 2010 budget. This was the City of North Bend’s 6th National GFOA Award for budget publications. The publication is reviewed by peers across the United States under the sponsorship of the Government Finance Officers Association.
