Snoqualmie businesses are going to be rocking on Friday, July 25, the night of the first ever Snoqualmie Unplugged event.

Businesses in the city’s historic district and Snoqualmie Ridge are encouraged to participate in the event, best described as a “music walk,” similar to an art walk.

“We’re trying to create an environment where we can promote the arts,” said Snoqualmie Unplugged organizer Bob Cole, economic development consultant for the city of Snoqualmie.

“We really want to expose our retail districts to the people of Snoqualmie and provide them with enjoyment,” he said. “We want people to get out and enjoy the evening in Snoqualmie.”

Snoqualmie Unplugged offers a way for residents and visitors to tour local businesses, and get to know area musicians at the same time.

The event is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. that evening. A list of musicians is currently being formed.

“We are encouraging all Snoqualmie businesses to look at hosting a musician during that time period,” Cole said.
