This law should be approved! Voters should be reminded that, despite how the opposition may intend to mislead, this is not a gay marriage issue. The ballot statement clearly states, “a domestic partnership is not a marriage.”

I will not love a Hampton Inn marking the “Mountains-to-Sound” hillside.
I am requesting that if the city does allow a hotel on this property, it should not have a restaurant. I recognize that limited food service may be needed. If so, I ask that it have a very limited menu and under no circumstances be allowed to serve alcohol.
The city of North Bend changed the zoning because it was in the best interest of the health and welfare of all concerned citizens to properly balance the conflicting interests of the commercial investors and residential owners.
I’m writing today in support of economic development in North Bend. A hotel that is located with the city’s land use goals in mind and compatible with adjacent land uses would no doubt help make North Bend “easy to reach, hard to leave.”
I am firmly in favor of the Wyrsch motel planned at exit 31. It is needed. It will not be a detriment to the surroundings.

At a recent city council meeting in Carnation, I gave the council an update of the rest of the August 16 flood meeting — the last hour, when the council members left before they could hear the testimony of those of us who signed up to speak.
I encourage the North Bend City Council to approve an amendment to current zoning regulations which would allow a hotel facility at Exit 31.

It is an official policy of the City of North Bend to “pursue the development of a hotel and/or motel with meeting space in the Pacific Northwest style and North Bend’s image.” There is a good reason for this policy.
