be found in one of the many antique stores in the Snoqualmie Valley.

From Duvall to North Bend, several dozen antique stores with

their own flair and style welcome customers and browsers alike.

With the growing popularity of rustic peeling-paint furniture

and items with yesteryear charm, antique stores’ prices are very

competitive with their newly manufactured counterparts. And buyers will never

be bored looking at the same merchandise because the inventory

changes constantly.

Take the time to explore the many interesting antique stores of

the Valley.

DUVALL

At the edge of downtown is Tuxedo’s

Junction, 15918 Main St., (425) 788-9678, which

specializes in furniture, glass, boomer toys, “rusty-crusties” (old plows, etc.),

and cast iron and architectural items. The store is named after owners Don

and Jill Lawrence’s Boston Terrier who passed away in January. Tuxedo

II, however, is carrying on the name. Also in the store is DTT’s

Espresso, which serves espresso, hot chocolate, hot dogs, muffins, chips and

other goodies. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday. 11 a.m. – 6

p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Across the street is Old Memories, 15925 Main St., (425)

788-7508, a two-story shop that is actually much larger than it appears from the

outside. They have a wide selection of jewelry, reference books,

collectibles, furniture, glass, tools and new

fiesta ware. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to

5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Farther along the main road is Country

Collections, 15525 Main St., (425) 788-2939, which sells a

variety of furniture, including dining room tables, chests, chairs,

glassware, books, clothes, dishes and more. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

Several doors down is McCoy’s Mercantile, 15515 Main St.,

(425) 788-7920, which sells gift items, beads, taxidermy, reproductions

and furniture. Store hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 5

p.m.; Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Located just outside of downtown Duvall is Northwest

Antiquities, 27327 N.E. Big Rock Road, (425)

788-7520, which deals with watches, clocks, watch fobs, antique guns

and tons of miscellaneous items. Store hours are by appointment only.

CARNATION

In the heart of downtown, Rosebuds, 4475 Tolt Ave., (425)

333-6895, is located in the old Tolt State Bank. Hot items are antique

cabinets, chairs, hall trees and curio cabinets. The store also sells gift items,

gourmet chocolate and 250 herbs and spices that are housed in the old

bank vault. There is a tea room in Rosebuds, as well. Call to reserve a

time for high tea. Store hours are Tuesday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30

p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 3 p.m.

On the other end of the main street is Raisa’s

Antiques, 4768 Tolt Ave., which specializes in

quality antiques including Haviland/Limoge china, cut glass and

original oak, walnut and mahogany furniture in excellent shape from the 1840s

to 1920s. Raisa’s Antiques has no set store hours.

FALL CITY

Located across the Snoqualmie River in downtown is

Mr. Garry’s Garage Sale, 33511 Redmond-Fall City Road, (425) 222-5768.

Mr. Garry’s specializes in “stuff.” Customers can sing along to oldies

while they search for that perfect treasure. Artwork, collectibles, clothing,

furniture and records are only a portion of what can be found at this fun stop

in Fall City.

About one mile out of town is Lamp House

Antiques, 7231 Lake Alice Road S.E., (425)

222-7888, which specializes in lamps, garden decor, furniture, glassware and

decorative items. Hours are Friday through Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Also on the outskirts of downtown is Jerry’s Basement

Sale, 4416 331st Ave. S.E., (425) 222-5886. The store is stocked full of

Depression glass, knickknacks, animal figurines, pottery, Fire King, salt and

pepper shakers, and a whole lot of miscellaneous items. Store hours are

Friday noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or call ahead for

extra hours.

PRESTON

Stonecroft Gallery, 8606 Preston-Fall City Road, (425)

222-7687, features antique furniture and collectibles. There is also a large

array of candles, soap, jewelry, garden and gift items handmade by local

artists. Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.;

Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call ahead for special summer hours.

SNOQUALMIE

Located behind the Snoqualmie Train Depot is

Flying Frog Antiques & Collectibles, 38601

King St., (425) 888-9776, which specializes in the ever-popular Star Wars

toys, collectibles, fossils, furniture, glassware and a lot of neat stuff.

Store hours are Thursday through Tuesday 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

NORTH BEND

Main Street Junction, 110 Main Ave. S., (425) 888-1171, has

Victorian and country antiques, collectibles, gifts, linens and

glassware. Store hours are Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Along the main road in town is The Snoqualmie Valley

Antique Company, 116 W. North Bend Way, (425) 888-5900. It features

everything from fine china, crystal and silverware to furniture, oil lamps, books

and more. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5:30 p.m.

Just a few doors down is Shoebox

Antiques, 108 W. North Bend Way, (425) 888-4949, which has an

eclectic display of glassware; Fire King; pottery; railroad, sporting, and

fishing items; old advertising signs; kitchenware and more. In addition

to selling antiques, the owner also repairs old lamps and sells lamp

shades. Shoebox Antiques stocks mainly small items that seem to say, “Look at

me. I’m cool.” Store hours are Wednesday through Sunday noon to 5:30

p.m., but they are sometimes closed for antique shows and buying trips.

One mile east is Bad Girl Antiques, 42901 S.E. North Bend

Way, (425) 888-1902, who provide “retail therapy for wayward women.”

The 4,000-square foot store specializes in quality furniture,

pottery, “mantiques” (antiques for those of

the male persuasion), china, fine glass, vintage collectibles, uniques and

dolls. Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and

Sundays noon to 6 p.m.

Farther east is This Old House Antiques, 43424 S.E. North

Bend Way, (425) 888-6090, which is located in a home built in the 1920s.

Inside, you’ll find pottery, quilts, glassware and “a little bit of everything.”

The owner just returned from a huge buying trip in the Midwest, stocking

the store with furniture and lots of miscellaneous antiques. Store hours

are Wednesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
