Fall City Arts is bringing a wealth of creative, family-oriented events to Fall City Days, Saturday, June 20, in downtown Fall City. This year’s lineup includes:
Eclectic music
James Whetzel is a performer whose musical gifts span a broad spectrum. Whetzel plays both acoustic music and electronic music, and performs original songs. His performance time is to be announced.
Art in the park
Performance painter Gita Lloyd will be painting all day in Fall City’s art park. Lloyd aims to record the wholeness of her subjects.
Chalk time
Chalk artist Brian Majors will be creating his artworks all day near the art park. Majors has been a regular presence at past Fall City Days.
African music
The African All Stars perform at 1 p.m. following the parade. Their music includes hi-life, soukous, juju, calypso, reggae — anything to make visitors dance.
Musical saw
Becky Poole is a Seattle-based actor, comedian, and musical saw player. Performance time is TBA.
Flea circus
Rob D’Arc, an artist, sculptor, and puppeteer, currently tours with his puppet shows and his neo-vaudevillian act, Professor Humbug’s Flea Circus; time TBA.
Cabiri troupe
The Cabiri Performance Troupe will perform after the parade until about 4 p.m. near the 3 on 3 basketball tournament site at Fall City Elementary.
Irish music
Matt Haverly will bring his brand of Irish music. He plays plays the fiddle, pennywhistle, bodhran, mandolin and harp. Performance time is TBA.
