North Bend public safety officials will competitively prepare drinks at Trail Youth Coffee, March 12 and March 19. The competition is known as “Boots Vs. Badges.”

Trail Youth Coffee is at 226 E. North Bend Way in North Bend.

First the police department will show of its skills from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on March 12.

Fire staff then will show their skills during the same time on March 19.

The team that brings in the most supporters wins a trophy. The losing team also has to buy pizza.

Funds raised during the event benefit Trail Youth, a nonprofit organization seeking to build bridges between youth and available resources.
