If your image of a typical senior citizen is granny knitting on the front porch, you are in for a surprise, thanks to an upcoming Sno-Valley Senior Center production.
The Sno-Valley Players are putting the final polish on their upcoming play, “Senior Moments.”
The show opens at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, followed by a 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, matinee. Performances continue at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 and 6. Doors open 30 minutes before show-time and there will be a short intermission with refreshments available. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Senior Center, Pete’s Club in Carnation, Carnation Corners in Carnation and EF Printing in Duvall.
Exploring the humor innate to the AARP set, Senior Moments is a play in three vignettes. “At Half Time” explores hilarity encountered in the locker room at half time when the Senior Women’s Basketball Team is losing 59 to 3 to the Little Sisters of Mercy.
“The Coffee Commercial” serves up fun and frivolity when an advertising director convinces two woman volunteers at the Senior Center Bake Sale to act in a commercial.
“The Old Folks” follows an elderly couple’s comedic life as they encounter the trials of growing older together — at least some of the time.
All proceeds from this all-volunteer production support center programs.
