As North Bend pursues the creation of a community park on a 31.86-acre parcel of Rattlesnake Mountain, the city and its partners, Si View Metropolitan Park District, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust are also seeking a name for the property.
Si View Metro Park, which will manage the new park, is taking naming suggestions from the community for the new property, now through 5 p.m. June 1.
Suggestions for park names must not infringe on any trademarks or licensed products. Submissions should be one-to three-word names that are concise and distinctive from a regional standpoint.
Enter your name suggestions online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NameThisPark.
A selection committee with representatives from all project partner groups will review and select the park’s new name from entries received. New park name will be announced on June 9.
This beautiful piece of Rattlesnake Mountain is located south of Interstate 90 at Exit 31 in North Bend, and contains high quality environmental features including mature forests, wetlands, creeks, steep topography and glacial erratic rock features. The low-impact park will feature trails, conserved areas, and environmental education opportunities.
