Worship events

Sunrise service, holy week at Snoqualmie UMC

Easter week worship services at Snoqualmie United Methodist Church will be held on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, in addition to three services on Easter Sunday.

Good Friday service, with the use of candlelight and shadow, music and silence, is 7 p.m. Friday, April 22.

Holy Saturday services include Songs of the Cross at 7 p.m. and an Easter Vigil at 8 p.m.

Easter Sunday includes a sunrise service at 6 a.m., worship with “Bless this House” at 9 a.m. and a 10:30 a.m. service with the Chancel and Children’s choirs.

Breakfast, Easter services at Mount Si Lutheran

Holy Week services at Mount Si Lutheran Church include a Good Friday Worship, 7 p.m. Friday, April 22.

On Easter Sunday, Mount Si hosts traditional services at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m., and a 10:45 a.m. Praise Worship.

All are welcome at the Annual Easter Breakfast, 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards the Family & Youth Ministry and several youth activities planned this year.

Our Lady of Sorrows hosts Holy Week services

Snoqualmie’s Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church holds Good Friday services including Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. and a Good Friday mass at 7 p.m.

The church has Easter Vigil started Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m.

Easter Sunday masses are at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the church. Mass will also be in the church hall at 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Easter service at LifePointe

LifePointe Community Church in Snoqualmie holds an Easter service, 10 a.m. Sunday, April 24.

Stations of the Cross, holy week at St. Clare Episcopal

St. Clare Episcopal Church in Snoqualmie will walk and meditate on the Stations of the Cross, 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.

For Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. April 21, the church will hold a foot-washing, share in the Last Supper, and strip the altar in preparation for Good Friday.

The church will be open from noon until 3 p.m. on Good Friday for personal prayers. At 7 p.m., sit at the foot of the cross to hear the Passion according to the Gospel of John..

At 10 a.m. on Easter Sunday, celebrate the Resurrection with the lighting of the Pascal Candle, the renewal of baptismal vows, and Holy Eucharist. St. Clare’s hosts a special easter egg hunt during coffee hour for children.

Resurrection Sunday worship at Community Church

North Bend Community Church holds Resurrection Sunday Worship, 10:30 a.m. Sunday April 24.

Brunch will be served at 9:15 a.m.

Easter breakfast, services at New Life Christian Center

New Life Christian Center, an evangelical-charismatic, spirit-filled church, hosts an Easter Experience with a casual breakfast, 9:15 to 10 a.m. Sunday, April 24, with a breakfast casserole, fruit, cinnamon rolls, juice and coffee. A worship service follows at 10 a.m.

Egg events

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt at Centennial Park

Teens are invited to a flashlight egg hunt, 8:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Snoqualmie’s Centennial Park.

Youth ages 13-17 can bring a flashlight and hunt for candy and prizes, then sample pizza, beverages and a state-of-the-art game theater afterwards.

Watch for the Games2U strobe light to guide you to Centennial Field. Parents, please drop off your teen promptly by 8:30 p.m. There is no cost.

The Snoqualmie Parks & Recreation Department and the Snoqualmie Ridge Residential Owners Association sponsor the event.

Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday in Snoqualmie

Children 12 and under are invited to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for candy-filled Easter eggs this Saturday at Centennial Fields in Snoqualmie.

The egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. sharp. Get there early, because the eggs go fast.

Egg hunt returns to Si View

North Bend’s annual Community Easter Egg Hunt starts at 9 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 23, at Si View Park, 400 S.E. Orchard Dr.

The hunt is divided into different age groups. Eggs go fast, so don’t be late.

A complimentary breakfast follows at the Moose Lodge, 108 Sydney Ave, North Bend.

Legion hosts Carnation hunt

The American Legion and Auxiliary Post 199 of Carnation will hold their Easter Egg Hunt, 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at Memorial Park in Carnation (located between Tolt Middle School and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church).  Ages 1 to 9 are welcome; Be there by 9:15 a.m. Please park in the St. Anthony’s Church parking lot. Celebrate spring in downtown Snoqualmie

Downtown Snoqualmie is hopping this Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Bring the kids and baskets and look for the balloons marking participating businesses. Snoqualmie merchants are sponsoring the event.

Easter lunch, eggs at senior center

Mount Si Senior Center in North Bend hosts an Easter Luncheon, Thursday, April 21.

The meal begins at noon, but visitors can come early to dye Easter eggs.

Cost is $3. The menu includes baked ham au gratin, asparagus, spring salad and a special Easter dessert.

Easter senior shopping trip

Seniors who need to do some shopping before the Easter bunny comes can go on a bus trip via the Mount Si Senior Center. The group hops to the nearest Wal-Mart, 9 a.m. Friday, April 22, from the center. The cost is $5.
