On Saturday, Dec. 3, current and past members of Fall City Fire District 27, serving Fall City, attended the district’s annual appreciation banquet, held at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge Clubhouse. A crew from Eastside Fire & Rescue provided standby service at the fire station so that on-duty members could also attend.
Three of the district’s newest recruits, Chris Burdick, Van Eng and Amy Juliano, were recognized for their completion of the 2016 Volunteer Recruit Academy.
Volunteer firefighter John Schreiber was recognized for completion of five years of service. Career firefighter Steve Bandy and volunteer firefighter Genessa Rose were each recognized for completion of 15 years of service.
Fire Chief Chris Connor was recognized for completion of 35 years of service. Following his recognition, Connor presented the Firefighter of the Year awards. Career Firefighter of the Year Award was Scott Fleming. Volunteer Firefighter of the Year Award was Michael Larson.
