Hairy coo? See Highland cattle in North Bend farm tour

Ever met a Hairy Coo, or Highland cow? You can, on the King Conservation District’s free farm tour Saturday, June 4. KCD, and Horses for Clean Water are hosting a series of free educational tours for owners of small acreages, who are considering small livestock operations. The Happy Tails Ranch in North Bend is the first stop on the tour, where visitors can see Scottish Highlander cattle, horse-keeping, composting, chickens and forestry operations from 10 a.m. to noon.
