All-district eighth

grade art show planned

“Coming Together,” the fourth annual Snoqualmie Valley School District Eighth Grade Art Show, is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Twin Falls Middle School commons.

In images and words, the show celebrates students’ journeys from middle school to high school.

Appetizers will be served.

Twin Falls is located at 46910 S.E. Middle Fork Road.

Snoqualmie Point named ‘best park’

The Washington Recreation and Park Association named Snoqualmie Point Park the best part in its class for 2009.

Snoqualmie Parks and Recreation Director Al Frank accepted the award and glass trophy at the WRPA Awards Banquet in Spokane this spring.

Snoqualmie Point Park commands stunning view of the Upper Valley and the Cascades.

The park also received a 2008 Award of Excellence by the Federal Highway Administration and the Washington State Department of Transportation.
