Karate classes at Twin Falls

The Umibushi Self-Defense Academy starts a new AAU Karate Club at Twin Falls Middle School in North Bend this month.

Karate classes (for ages 7 thru adult) will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m., year-round, starting Friday, March 20.

Magic up close at Encompass

For 4- to 5-year-olds, the Encompass Main Campus in North Bend is the place to be from 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, March 20, for a magical morning, full of fun, intrigue and the chance to interact with and learn from a locally based, professional magician.

At “Make Magic at Encompass,” children will have the opportunity to enjoy a magic show close-up and ask the magician to reveal his top secrets. After the show, children will experience a hands-on workshop and learn to perform their own tricks.
