Sometimes what you’ve always been told isn’t necessarily what you should do. This is the lesson Eva Moon learns in the course of one hilarious and harrowing night’s encounter with the specters of Sloth, Envy, Greed, Pride, Anger, Gluttony and most of all, Lust.
The sexy new one-woman musical comes to North Bend’s Valley Center Stage, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15.
Backed by Moon’s hot-jazz quartet, The Lunatics, the show includes 17 original songs on topics ranging from Brazilian waxes to sexy baristas, e-mail scammers and ambiguous encounters at the Crocodile Cafe, just up the street from the theater.
Eva Moon & The Lunatics have performed at Valley Center Stage in the past, bringing their shows “My Perfect Life and Other Delusions” and “Eva Moon’s Stimulus Package” to appreciative audiences. The group has released two CDs, “Something’s Brewing” in 2004 and “Moon Falling Down” in 2008. Performers will include Moon on vocals and keyboard, Ferko Saxmanov on alto sax and flute, George Michael on guitar, Mike Gordon on bass and Zushka Niemann on drums.
Tickets are available online at valleycenterstage.org or at the door. Valley Center Stage is upstairs at 119 E North Bend Way.
Admission is $12.50.
The show is recommended for adult audiences. For directions, photos, video and sound clips, see http://evamoon.net.
