Valley Center Stage and Boxley’s host an evening of dastardly deeds and comic crime as they present “Critical Review” an interactive murder mystery, Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24.
Dinner guests will mingle among the suspects and other characters of the play as they unveil their motives and witness a murder and help solve the crime by the end of the night.
The plot centers around a local theater company that has just put on a wonderful production only to have their play trashed by the local theater critic. They are now raising funds for the theater by
hosting a silent auction and special dinner at a local restaurant(Boxley’s). During dinner, a murder occurs and the rest of the evening is spent unraveling the mystery.
The Valley Center Stage performers are Becky Rappin, Craig Ewing, Rene Schuchter, Susanna Fuller, Kathleen Roche-Zujko, and Gary Schwartz. Others in the cast are Fred Rappin, Bill Stone, Robin Walbeck-Forrest, Ed Benson and Denise Paulette.
The cost of the dinner and show is $75 per person. The show begins at 7 p.m, but it is suggested to arrive at 6:30 to collect clues and bid in the silent auction. Advance reservations are required. Tickets may be purchased by calling Boxley’s, (425) 292-9307.

Funds raised at this event will go to finance Valley Center Stage’s upcoming season of shows, including Dracula, A Christmas Carol, Leisure Time with
Leisure Time radio show and Moon Over Buffalo as well as a children’s show Jack and the Beanstalk and several variety, comedy shows. Proceeds will also go to Boxley’s Music Fund.
