She was also nominated in two categories for the 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, including “Best Contemporary/Orchestral”, and “Best Film Score- Indie/Documentary/Short.”

A wife and mother, raising two small children, Thomas says that though she’s always pursued her music, sometimes the opportunities were challenging.

“I scored my first original film score while I was pregnant with our second baby, and actually finished it two weeks before delivering. It was not easy!” she stated.

Along with the new album release, and upcoming awards show in Hollywood, Thomas has two upcoming concerts planned.

Thomas is giving a house concert in Salt Lake City on Sept. 5 (Tickets can be purchased at http://store.michelemclaughlin.com/)

Shomas is also scheduled to be the featured soloist with the Evergreen Youth Philharmonic in December, which she is very excited about.. “I think there is something special about the piano with a full orchestra and magic happens. I’m really excited to work with the kids in the orchestra – they really are one of the most talented groups I’ve heard! I hope I can live up to all the high expectations!”

Thomas’ music is available for purchase directly from her website, www.jenniferthomasmusic.com, iTunes, CDbaby, and Amazon.
