The Northwest Model Hobby Expo is coming to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Jan. 27 to 29. This annual event features radio control hobby events, vendors, activities, and a whole building of swap items.
New this year, the expo will feature a drone racing event for each day, competing in an indoor flying arena. A Maker Blitz event will give anyone with a Maker project an opportunity to present it at the expo, free.
Activities include indoor model car racing, drift car racing, crawler cars, airplane/quad/heli flying, indoor pond and Tiny Whoop drone racing all weekend. Battle robots will perform on Saturday only this year. There will also be a static scale competition.
Vendors supporting 3D printing, robotics, drone racing,and more will e featured at the event. Because of all of the attractions and vendors, the expo will be expanding into a third building.
Hours of the event are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 27; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. For more information, visit http://nwmhe.com.
