• Interviews with members of the nursing staff of Snoqualmie Valley Hospital indicate what many Valley folks have begun to realize — that the hospital is a facility where employees feel their basic goal is one dedicated to the benefit of Valley citizens.
• Missy, a poodle owned by the LeRoy Jorgensen family, has adopted three kittens, whose mother was run over by a car. Missy and the kittens all seem happy with the arrangement.

• Anyone who has ever watched the Mount Si and Issaquah football teams have at it can tell you that when these two traditional but friendly rivals meet, it’s strictly a no-holds-barred, down-to-the-wire struggle. Add the knowledge that this Friday is Issaquah’s annual homecoming, and you have some idea of the brand of clean, rugged football you’ll see from the starting whistle.

• Construction was started on the buildings that will house the Cherry Valley C.C.C camp in the Tolt district Tuesday, with about 75 carpenters, helpers and laborers being employed. The work is being rushed as it is hoped to have the buildings ready for occupancy in two weeks. People in the Tolt community are very much enthused, as many of its citizens will have work.
