Rhonda Schmidt has been chosen to serve as the next principal of Two Rivers School. Now an assistant principal at Mount Si High School, Schmidt will assume the principalship at Two Rivers on July 1.
She takes over from Amy Montayne-Johnson, who announced in December that she would leave Two Rivers at the end of the school year.
“After giving careful consideration to the matter of determining Ms. Montanye-Johnson’s successor, we are convinced that Ms. Schmidt is the right person at this time to lead Two Rivers School,” wrote Superintendent Joel Aune in an announcement to parents and students.
Prior to becoming an assistant principal at Mount Si, Schmidt taught mathematics and science at for four years Mount Si High School, five years at Foster High School and four years at Bremerton High School.
