Dec. 20

Ugly sweater party: Big Block Brewery in Carnation is hosting its annual “This Could Get Ugly… Sweater Party” from 6-9 p.m. The night includes prizes for best and worst outfit, holiday music, door prizes and festive brews — a chocolate mint porter and a mystery brew.

Dec. 20-21

Drive-through light show: Camp Gilead in Carnation will host its annual GileAdvent drive-through Christmas experience for two nights from 5-8 p.m. In addition to Christmas lights, there will also be cookies, caroling and a live nativity.

Dec. 20-22

“The Nutcracker”: Duvall Performing Arts is producing “The Nutcracker” this season, and there are four performances left. Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.; Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. The performances are 90 minutes long and held at Cedarcrest High School Theater. Light Up North Bend contest & viewing: North Bend’s annual holiday lighting contest invites the city’s homes and businesses to compete in three categories: best use of music, best theme and best Clark Griswold-style overuse of lights. On Dec. 16, visit northbendwa.gov or the city’s social media pages for a map of all participants. Winners will be announced after Christmas.

Through Jan. 1

Sno-Skate Lane Holiday Skating: Sno-King Ice Arena in Snoqualmie will host its annual Sno-Skate Lane holiday-themed public skating until Jan. 1. The rink will be open to all ages and skills. Go to snokingicearenas.com for more information and to get tickets.

Through Jan. 5

Ornament scavenger hunt: “Go wild this holiday season” with a holiday ornament scavenger hunt in the Snoqualmie Valley. Wood ornaments shaped like eagles, elk, bears and salmon are hidden throughout the Valley’s small businesses. Scavengers can scan a QR code on the back of the ornaments to enter to win a prize. The contest ends Jan. 5.
