Multiple Valley businesses are inviting guests to ring in the new year on Dec. 31.

Dec. 28

Starry Night painting workshop: Those ages 11 and up are invited to the Carnation Library to paint their own version of Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.” There will be a step-by-step lesson with local artist Irina Johnson, covering post-impressionism, color theory and brush techniques. 1-4 p.m. Supplies are included; space is limited. Pour House Pete’s dance party: Warm up for New Year’s Eve with a dance party at Pour House Pete’s in Carnation, hosted by DJ Invasion. Event is 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. for those age 21 and up.

Dec. 29

Chanukah on Ice at Sno-King: Sno-King Ice Arena in Snoqualmie will have its annual Chanukah on Ice from 5-6:30 p.m. The event includes skating to Jewish music, a giant ice menorah candle lighting, refreshments and traditional Jewish treats. To purchase tickets, go to snokingicearenas.com.

Dec. 31

The Grange NYE dinner: The Grange farm-to-table restaurant in Duvall is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve dinner from 6-8:30 p.m. The five-course dinner crafted by Chef Nate is $110 per person, with an additional $40 charge per person for wine pairings. Remlinger NYE party: Remlinger Farms in Carnation is having a New Year’s Eve celebration featuring local band The Outmodes, which covers ‘60s and ‘70s pop, blues and rock. Event is from 6-9 p.m. and includes a live viewing of the ball drop in New York City.

Pour House Pete’s NYE party: Pour House Pete’s in Carnation is having a New Year’s Eve celebration it has titled the “Nowhere to Wear It Party.” Guests ages 21 and up are invited to ring in the new year with dancing and music from DJ Invasion in a fun outfit they don’t usually get a chance to wear. 10 p.m to 1 a.m.

Through Jan. 1

Sno-Skate Lane Holiday Skating: Sno-King Ice Arena in Snoqualmie will host its annual Sno-Skate Lane holiday-themed public skating until Jan. 1. The rink will be open to all ages and skills. Go to snokingicearenas.com for more information and to get tickets.

Through Jan. 5

Ornament scavenger hunt: “Go wild this holiday season” with a holiday ornament scavenger hunt in the Snoqualmie Valley. Wood ornaments shaped like eagles, elk, bears and salmon are hidden throughout the Valley’s small businesses. Scavengers can scan a QR code on the back of the ornaments to enter to win a prize. The contest ends Jan. 5.
