North Bend Trail fest: The annual North Bend Trail Fest, hosted by Mountain Running Races, will include a 30k race, a 10k race and kids races. The day kicks off at 7:30 a.m. at Torguson Park. Registration for the races is available at northbendtrailfest.com.
Halloween train ride: The Northwest Railway Museum will host Halloween-themed train rides from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday from Oct. 12-27. The two-hour, round-trip ride will include a 30-minute stopover at Train Shed Exhibit Hall and treats for kids. Costumes are encouraged. Tickets are required and can be purchased from trainmuseum.org for $16 to $32.
South Fork anniversary fiesta: To celebrate two years of business, South Fork is putting on a party complete with international guest chefs, live music, a mechanical bull and fire dancing. Tickets are $100 per adult, $50 per kid and $25 per kid age 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased at southforknorthbend.com.

Pumpkin carving contest: The Bindlestick in downtown Snoqualmie is hosting its second annual pumpkin carving competition from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. Participants should bring their own pumpkins and carving materials. Dedicated decorating space will be provided in the outdoor beer garden. There is no fee, no age limit and no cap on how many pumpkins you can enter. Three prize winners will be announced on Oct. 16. Fall festival at Oxbow Farm: Celebrate fall at Oxtober 2024 with activities including pumpkin picking, hayrides, apple slinging, live music, food, fresh farm goods and more. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $6 or free for kids age 4 and under and can be purchased through oxbow.org.
