Snoqualmie Sunflower Festival: Join the Carnation Chamber of Commerce for its inaugural Snoqualmie Valley Sunflower Festival from Aug. 23 to Sept. 15. Sip Suds & Si: Sip Suds & Si is back from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14. Enjoy samplings from wineries, breweries and cideries, art, live music, shopping and dining from Bendigo Boulevard to Downing Street in North Bend. $35 early bird tickets for a wristband, tasting tickets, and a Tipsy Elk tasting glass are available at northbenddowntown.org until 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 13. Fall City Apple Festival: Head over to the Northwest Natural Horsemanship Center, 32925 SE 46th St. in Fall City, on Sept. 15 for the Fall City Apple Festival to celebrate the bounty of the Snoqualmie Valley apple harvest. The family-oriented festival promises live music, tasty desserts, horse rides, a hard cider-tasting garden, vendor booths and more. While admission is free, any proceeds from food sales, horse rides, contest entries and vendor booth fees benefit the Warrior Family Retreat. Upper Snoqualmie Valley Elk Management Group Meeting: Join the Upper Snoqualmie Valley Elk Management group on Sept. 17 to watch a presentation by Washington’s leading wolf expert. The group’s mission is to research and study the local elk herd, educate the community concerning their findings, and work on habitat restoration projects. Ink & Sip Workshop: Head to William Grassie Wine Estates, 7802 Center Blvd. SE, on Sept. 19, to participate in an Ink and Sip Workshop geared toward empowering and motivating women to practice more self-love through self-care, self-acceptance, and gratitude. Participants will learn the process of fluid art using alcohol inks as a local artist walks them through the basics of creating unique affirmation cards. Shop, Dine and Unwind: Head to Historic Downtown Snoqualmie on Railroad Ave. on the evening of Sept. 19 to shop, dine and unwind by strolling through unique shops, local cuisine and drink award-winning wines.
