Valley Center Stage returns to the theater with performances of “I and You,” every Thursday through Sunday beginning on Feb. 3.
Written by playwright Lauren Gunderson, “I and You” is an ode to youth, life, love and the strange beauty of human connection.
Homebound due to illness and away from school for months, Caroline gets an unexpected visit from classmate, Anthony. He brings a beat-up copy of Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass” and an urgent assignment from their English teacher. Through this seemingly mundane poetry project, Caroline and Anthony open up to each other and reveal their secrets.
Directed by Robin Walbeck-Forrest, performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Sundays. Shows run until Sunday, Feb. 19.
Valley Center Stage is a nonprofit theater company in North Bend run entirely by volunteers. All shows will be held at the Sallal Grange, 1060 Stilson Ave SE in North Bend.
Tickets start at $20 with discounts for seniors, military members, students and children under 10. Tickets are available online at: valleycenterstage.org/i-you.
