Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls:

Thursday, Aug. 18
Youth Gathering: At 11:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a large number of juveniles gathering in a park in the 7100 block of Autumn Avenue Southeast. They found about 20 kids, and advised them to leave the park, which was closed.
Bear Chase: At 11:02 p.m., officers responded to one of several calls about a bear in the neighborhood, rummaging through trash cans. The officer chased the bear off. Residents are advised to get bear-proof trash cans.
Wednesday, Aug. 17
Assault: At 1:55 p.m., a caller reported that a man was yelling and might have been reaching for a weapon at the corner of Railroad Avenue Southeast and Meadowbrook Way Southeast. Officers responded and found an intoxicated man, who had shoved the caller for summoning police. The victim said that after the man shoved him, he reached behind him, as if for a weapon.
Saturday, Aug. 13
Bar Fight: At 9:22 p.m., officers were called to a disturbance at a business in the 8000 block of Railroad Avenue. Upon arrival, they found five people holding down a belligerent man. Witnesses said the man had walked behind the bar and tried to grab the bartender several times. She asked him to leave, but he refused. When her husband stepped in, the man punched him in the face, breaking his nose. Five patrons of the business then grabbed the man and held him down until police arrived.
North Bend Police
Wednesday, Aug. 17
Smash and Grab: At 11:55 p.m., a caller reported that his vehicle had been damaged and items had been stolen from where it was parked, in the 600 block of South Fork Avenue. The thief had apparently smashed a window to gain access to the locked vehicle.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
Stolen Vehicle: At 7:58 p.m., a business in the 100 block of West North Bend Way reported that a silver specialized hemi was stolen from the back entrance of the store. The time of theft is believed to be between 5:30 and 5:35 p.m.
Shoplift: At 5:17 p.m., a business in the 400 block of South Fork Avenue reported a theft. Witnesses stated that a white male and white female were seen stealing items and leaving the store, but they did not see what direction they went when they left.
Monday, Aug. 15
Credit Card Fraud: At 7:01 a.m., a citizen reported attempted credit card fraud. The victim said that on Friday, Aug. 5, a store in the 600 block of Southeast Fifth Street had called him when a person had tried to bring up his credit card information at the store but failed the verification test. The suspect was able to open a new account with the victim’s name, however.

Wednesday, Aug. 17
Alarm: At 2:46 p.m., firefighters responded to a commercial automatic fire alarm. On arrival, nothing was found and the alarm was determined to be false.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
Car accident: At 7:25 a.m., firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident. One patient was treated and transported to Overlake Hospital via a paramedic unit.
Monday, Aug. 15
Sickness: At 11:10 a.m., firefighters responded to a 69-year-old man who was sick. He was treated and transported to Overlake Hospital via private ambulance.
Odd smell: At 1:03 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of an electrical odor. After investigation, it was determined to be from a vehicle.
Unconscious woman: At 6:36 p.m., firefighters responded to a 61-year-old woman who was unconscious. She was also seen by a paramedic unit from Bellevue Fire, and treated and transported to Overlake Hospital via the Medic unit.
Friday, Aug. 12
Accident: At 7:39 p.m., firefighters responded to a motorcycle accident. The rider was uninjured and refused any further care.
Thursday, Aug. 11
Alarm: At 1:30 p.m., firefighters responded to an automatic residential fire alarm. On arrival, the problem was discovered to be burnt food.
Fall: At 2:57 p.m., firefighters responded to a 62-year-old woman who had fallen. The patient was treated and transported to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital via the Fall City Fire aid car.
Snoqualmie Fire Department
Tuesday, Aug. 16
At 9:45 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to the Snoqualmie downtown area for an automatic fire alarm. After investigation, it was determined that the alarm was false.
At 10:12 a.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to the Snoqualmie Casino for a medical call. The patient was treated and then transported to the hospital by a private ambulance.
At 4:54 p.m, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Ridge area for a dumpster fire. Fire crews arrived to find that the dumpster fire had been extinguished by a worker on scene.
Monday, Aug. 15
At 3:29 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Strouf Avenue for a 4-year-old boy with a high fever. Patient was evaluated and transported to the hospital by his parents.
At 5:52 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to SE Northern for a 39-year-old girl with low blood sugar. Patient was treated and left at the scene.
Saturday, Aug. 13
Fainting: At 9:10 a.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Southeast Turnberry Street for a 13-year-old girl who had fainted. She was evaluated and left at home with her parents.
Chest pain: At 12:30 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded with Bellevue Paramedics to the Snoqualmie Casino for a 60 year old female with chest pain. She was evaluated and transported to the hospital by private ambulance.
Punching: At 9:37 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Railroad Avenue for an assault. One patient was punched in the nose and taken by private vehicle to the hospital to have it checked out.
Friday, Aug. 12
Pain: At 3:58 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Echo Glen Children’s Center for a 19-year-old woman with abdominal pain. She was evaluated and transported to the hospital by private ambulance.
