Snoqualmie Police responded to the following calls:
Thursday, Aug. 4
Vandalism: At 11:27 p.m., an officer on patrol discovered two burning road flares on the basketball court of Community Park in the 35000 block Ridge Street Southeast. The officer extinguished the flares, which damaged the court. Through investigation, police found two large fireworks that had not been exploded and another flare that apparently broke while someone tried to light it.
Tuesday, Aug. 2
Bear in Garage: At 2:58 a.m., a caller reported that a large bear was in the garage of his home in the 36700 block of Southeast Gravenstein Court. Officers responded, but the bear was gone.
Saturday, July 30
Car Stolen from Work: At 1:53 a.m., a man reported his car stolen from the employee parking lot where he worked, in the 6600 block of Railroad Avenue Southeast. He’d arrived at work at 3 p.m., locked his vehicle and left the keys on his desk. Both keys and car were gone when he ended his shift at 1:15 a.m. The car is a 2009 black Subaru Impreza.
Friday, July 29
No Permit: At 7:55 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a motorcycle speeding on Snoqualmie Parkway and signaled the bike to stop. The driver had no motorcycle endorsement on his driver’s license, but said he got a learner’s permit last year. The permit is only good for 90 days, and police found no record of the driver earning one.
North Bend Police
Tuesday, August 2
Playground Vandalized: At 11:41 a.m., a staff member at the North Bend Elementary School reported that someone had dumped an old brown couch on the school playground. The vandals also left behind human feces and graffiti.
Monday, August 1
Fake Bills: At 10 a.m., a business in the 700 block of Southwest Mount Si Boulevard reported finding multiple counterfeit $20 bills. The bills had been passed as payment for items during the night shift.
Friday, July 29
Stolen Meds: At 2:19 p.m., a man reported that someone had stolen from his unlocked mailbox in the 13500 block of 433 Place Southeast, a package of maintenance medication that he’d been expecting the previous day. The medicine never arrived.
Monday, July 25
Long Gone: At 12:20 p.m., a man called police to report that his trailer and three quad ATVs were stolen from a business in the 43200 block of Southeast Mount Si Road, where he’d been storing them. The man last checked on the items in December 2008.
