Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls last week:

Wednesday, April 24
School zone: At 1:57 p.m., an officer on patrol saw a vehicle obviously speeding through a school zone on Railroad Avenue Southeast, while the school zone lights were flashing, and stopped the vehicle in the 9200 block. The driver said he had a suspended license, and gave the officer a false name three times. When the officer could find no record on the driver, he arrested the man, who then gave his real name. He did have a suspended driver’s license, and was required to have an interlock ignition device on his vehicle, which he didn’t have.
Saturday April 20
Blood and graffiti: At 10:30 a.m., a Snoqualmie parks employee contacted police about vandalism in the 34700 block of Southeast Sorenson Street. The employee said that overnight someone had smashed the mirror in the men’s restroom at Carmichael Park, then put blood and graffiti all over the walls. The women’s restroom was not damaged.
Bad driver: At 12:25 a.m., an officer patrolling on Railroad Avenue saw a vehicle being driven erratically and at high speeds from the 9000 block of Railroad Avenue Southeast to the intersection of S.R. 202 and Northwest 14th Street where the driver finally pulled over. The driver seemed intoxicated and claimed she didn’t know she’d been swerving. After failing several sobriety tests and being arrested, she began crying and saying what a bad person she was for drinking and driving. She was arrested for DUI.
Thursday, April 18
Mailbox attack: At 1:29 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 8200 block of Olmstead Lane Southeast, for a report of mail box vandalism. A postal employee told the officer that someone had tried to pry open a specific P.O. box before she arrived. Nothing had been taken, but the damages to the mailbox were estimated at $300.

Thursday, April 25
Break-in: At 5:57 p.m., a caller in the 500 block of Maloney Grove reported a burglary. The victim said someone had broken into the home, located the safe that was hidden in the closet, broke the safe open and stole jewelry and cash. Some of the items stolen were found for sale at a Bellevue pawn shop later in the week.

Familiar face: At 9:20 a.m., an officer on patrol saw a known subject walking eastbound on Southeast North Bend Way, and found that the man had an $1,100 warrant. The officer arrested him without incident.
Saturday, April 20
Fake money: At 7:44 p.m., a business in the 100 block of North Bend Way reported receiving counterfeit money.
Tips gone: At 6:47 p.m., a business in the 100 block of West Park Street reported a theft. Someone had entered the business and stolen the tip jar from the counter.

Friday, April 26
Prowler: At 12:30 a.m., a caller in the 32100 block of East Morrison Street called police to request a search of the area. The caller thought he’d seen a prowler, but police did not locate anyone.
Wednesday, April 24
Funny smell: At 2:37 p.m., a caller in the 32500 block of Northeast 50th Street reported smelling what he thought was a meth lab in the area. Officers responded, but did not smell anything suspicious.
Stay away: At 10:32 a.m., police were called to a business in the 4300 block of Tolt Avenue to remove a subject at the business’ request.

Suspended license: At 3:29 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on S.R. 203 near milepost 2. The driver had a suspended license. He was booked at the station, then released.

Wednesday, April 24
Breathing issue: At 7:05 p.m., Fall City firefighters responded to the 4700 block of 328th Avenue for a 70-year-old woman with shortness of breath. She was evaluated and taken to the hospital by Fall City’s aid car.
Monday, April 22
Medical issue: At 7:34 p.m., Fall City firefighters responded to the 32300 block for Southeast 48th Street for a 66-year-old woman with a seizure. She was evaluated and taken to the hospital by Fall City’s aid car.

Unconscious woman: At 2:47 a.m., Fall City firefighters responded to the 4600 block of 365th Avenue Southeast for an unconscious 60-year-old woman. She was evaluated and taken to the nearby hospital by Bellevue paramedics.

Panic: At 4:07 p.m., Fall City firefighters responded to the 4900 block of 334th Avenue Southeast for a panic attack. One patient was treated and left at home.
Allergic reaction: At 5:59 p.m., Fall City firefighters responded to Lake Alice Rd Se for an allergic reaction to medications. One patient was evaluated and taken to the hospital by Fall City’s aid car.

Log rescue: At 4:44 a.m., Fall City firefighters responded to the 7200 block of Moon Valley Road for a possible swift water rescue. It was determined on scene that a log was mistaken for a body.
