Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls:
Snoqualmie-North Bend Police Department
Sunday, Aug. 14
Accident: At 1:32 p.m., police received a report of a driver crashing into a ditch on S.E. 140th Street, North Bend. The subject had been drinking and had injured his hand in the crash. He was transported to a local hospital for a voluntary blood test.
Monday, Aug. 15
Suspicious: At 9:24 a.m., a possible theft from a locker room on the 36000 block of S.E. Ridge Street, Snoqualmie was reported to police.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
Suspicious: At 7:03 p.m., an unknown subject broke into a vehicle on Rock Creek Ridge Boulevard S.W., North Bend and stole several items.
Suspicious: At 1:08 p.m., police received a call about people on Satterlee Avenue S.E., Snoqualmie placing their garbage bins at different houses before the trucks pick them up. The caller also reported the neighbors washing the bins out after the garbage had been taken.
Trespassing: At 3:52 p.m., police were called to issue trespassing warning to three subjects loitering on the 30000 block of S.E. Kinsey Street, Snoqualmie.
Theft: At 11:09 p.m., police were called to report an accidental theft of gas from the 500 block of East North Bend Way, North Bend. Police located the parents of the driver who agreed to pay the bill of $23.16.
Thursday, Aug. 18
Fraud: At 11:55 a.m., a possible counterfeit $100 bill was reported to police after being used at Ace Hardware in North Bend. When police arrived they found it was older currency brought from Chili, it looked real and the subject’s ID and passport appeared valid.
Fall City Fire Department
Friday, Aug. 12
Freeway accident: At 10:21 a.m., firefighters from Fall City were called to assist units from Eastside Fire and Rescue and medics from Bellevue Fire at a motor vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 90 near High Point Way. A teenage girl was seriously injured when her car was hit by several vehicles; she was taken to Harborview Medical Center. The highway was closed for several hours while the accident was investigated.
Weakness: At 12:37 p.m., firefighters from Fall City attended to a 79-year-old man who was experiencing a decreased level of consciousness and general weakness. He was taken to a hospital by a private ambulance.
Injury accident: At 2:45 p.m., firefighters from Fall City and Eastside Fire & Rescue were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Duthie Hill Road and 266th Avenue S.E. One patient was taken to a local hospital with chest pain, and another patient was evaluated on scene and released.
River rescue: At 7:10 p.m., firefighters from Fall City and Duvall were called to the Snoqualmie River for a report of a man stranded somewhere on the river after his inflatable raft had burst. Members of the Duvall Fire Department launched their rescue boat and firefighters from both departments searched on the river for the man. They found him uninjured, then carried him downstream to the boat launch, where his family was waiting.
Saturday, Aug. 13
Fever: At 8:36 a.m., firefighters from Fall City and Bellevue medics assisted a 90-year-old woman who was experiencing shortness of breath, fever, and general weakness. They evaluated her on scene and medics transported her to a local hospital.
Sunday, Aug. 14
Blood sugar problems: At 2:50 a.m., Fall City firefighters were called to the home of a 51-year-old woman who was experiencing high blood sugar and general weakness. She was taken to a local hospital.
Tree down: At 1:32 p.m., the King County Sheriff’s Office called the department to assist in removing a tree that had been hit by an impaired driver and was lying across the street and a fire hydrant. Firefighters cut the tree into sections, removed it from the road and checked the fire hydrant, which was not damaged.
Fall: At 3 p.m., firefighters from Fall City and Snoqualmie were called to the Snoqualmie River to assist a woman in her 20s who’d fallen from a rope swing and hit her head. She was extricated from the riverbank and taken to a local hospital.
Losing consciousness: At 5:14 p.m., firefighters were back at the Snoqualmie River to assist another woman in her 20s, who was experiencing a decreased level of consciousness and was stuck on a riverbank. They extricated her from the river by boat and took her to a local hospital for evaluation.
Monday, Aug. 15
Accidental shooting: At 4:16 p.m., firefighters were called to assist a 36-year-old man who accidentally shot himself in the hand while unloading a gun. They evaluated the man and took him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
Motorcycle accident: At 9:28 a.m., Fall City firefighters were called to the Snoqualmie area for a motorcycle accident in which a motorcyclist slid into a guardrail. They took the patient to a local hospital for treatment.

Friday, Aug. 12
Brush fire: At 2:16 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched with Fall City to a reported brush fire on Boalch Avenue S.E. At the scene, the crew found a power line down in a tree, which was causing some smoldering. They called Puget Sound Energy and warned golfers away from the area until PSE staff arrived.
No fire: At 11:22 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters received a complaint about an illegal burn on S.E. Newton Street and Silva Avenue S.E. They investigated the neighborhood but found no sign of a fire.
Sunday, Aug. 14
Alarm: At 3:22 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to an automatic fire alarm on S.E. Aspen Lane. The homeowner said she called 911 after her security alarm started sounding; she had never used the system and didn’t know the code to silence the alarm. Firefighters located the system’s panel, which showed multiple burglar alarms. Snoqualmie Police were called to check the home for intruders. The alarm continued to sound, so firefighters eventually removed the panel’s face and unplugged the speaker. They advised the homeowner to call the alarm company.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
Grass fire: At 11:58 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded with Eastside Fire & Rescue units to a possible grass fire on eastbound I-90. The crew arrived to find an extinguished two-by-three-foot fire; they added water to ensure the fire was completely out.
Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 19 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 707.
