Carnation City Manager Candice Bock has announced her resignation, effective at the end of November.

She will be leaving Carnation to take a position as Policy Advocate with the Association of Washington Cities (AWC). AWC represents all of the cities across the state and provides a variety of services to municipalities.

Bock has served as Carnation’s City Manager since September of 2006.

“I have enjoyed the opportity to serve the residents of Carnation and work for the Carnation City Council,” Bock said. “Together we have accomplished a lot in the past three years. I am looking forward to continuing to serve Carnation and the cities across the state in my new position.”

The Carnation council will be working over the next few weeks to hire an interim city manager and start the process of finding a permanent manager. Carnation is a council manager form of government with the city council serving as the legislative body and the manager runs the day to day operations of the mity.
