Residents in the North Bend area may find their county council representation changing from Kathy Lambert to Reagan Dunn under plans for realigning county districts with the latest census numbers.
King County Council members are considering four different plans for realignment, which is required every 10 years to adjust council district boundaries according to the distribution of population, as identified in the U.S. Census results.
Since January, the council has been working on the realignment, and has prepared draft plans for public consideration.
Most of the Valley cities remain solidly in District 3, represented by Kathy Lambert and unaffected by the four plans. In two plans, though, portions of the North Bend area may be reassigned to District 9, represented by Reagan Dunn. The other two proposals extend District 3 south of North Bend.
