The Snoqualmie Police Department will be holding a prescription drug take back event on April 24 at North Bend City Hall.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will give people a chance to safely discard unused prescription drugs. Unused drugs at home can increase the risk of pill abuse and theft.
Pills can be brought to City Hall at 920 SE Cedar Falls Way, or the Snoqualmie Fire Department at 37600 Snoqualmie Parkway. The service is free and anonymous. Liquids, needles and sharps are not accepted.
The program is run in partnership with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. Last spring, some 492 tons of prescription drugs were collected at some 10,500 sites across the country.
